New Chromebook for everyone.. except for Australians

Google has teamed up with Samsung to bring us a fast, light and cheap laptop.. assuming ‘us’ and ‘everyone’ are limited to those in only certain countries. Currently you can purchase the Chromebook directly if you are in the US, UK, Spain, France, Italy, Germany, South Korea and the Netherlands.. but not here in Australia.

Shame because it doesnt look so bad:

  • Runs on Chrome OS
  • Just over 1kg
  • 2cms think
  • Over 6hrs Battery Life
  • 100GB space using Google Drive (Free for 2 years)
  • Under 10s boot up time
  • 3G Capabilities
  • 11.6 inch screen
  • Built-in dual band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • VGA Camera
  • 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0
  • HDMI
  • Bluetooth 3.0™ Compatible

I’m sure there is a load more stuff but since I’m in Australia and my $249 is pretty useless, I can’t really dive into it. But you can read the official Chromebook product page here or watch the promo video below.
