Google+ Local Maps Update – To Show Address or no?
We have always supported businesses showing their business address. Why? Simply because the rankings were always better. We saw an improvement of rankings in so many cases when a business opted to show their address compared to if they didn’t. This was regardless of whether the business served people at their location or not.
Today Google seems to be cracking down on showing the address for those businesses which choose to show their address even though they do not see people face to face at that address (think plumbers, electricians, handymen etc). This isn’t usually something I would be concerned about until I heard the “will be taken down off Google Maps”. We don’t like that.
There were a few other things to note.. namely the new iOS app for Google Maps and Google+ Local. The official release is here and you can watch the video below.
